Soil is the basis of our lives - and a limited resource. We urgently need to rethink the way we use it. In some places, committed people have already begun to do so. They are setting a good example.
Filmmaker Robert Schabus portrays seven communities that use land wisely, including communities that have been awarded the LandLuft Baukultur award. He meets actors from administration and politics as well as citizens who are actively involved in shaping their living environment. They are concerned with good land policy, strengthening town centers, the use of vacant buildings and the design of public spaces. It is a journey across Austria that takes us to Feldkirch, Göfis, Mödling, Moosburg, Oberdrauburg, Thalgau and Trofaiach, where the focus is on the people.
