Vollmer Marie-Therese

Since I started working on MIND THE GAP (Director: Robert Schabus) in 2017, I have been enthusiastic about working in film. Documentaries have remained my focus of interest ever since. My fields of activity range from research and concept work to production assistance, production management and assistant directing. I have also taken on these tasks for the cinema documentary ALPENLAND (Director: Robert Schabus) and assisted in some TV productions.

Together with Bertram Knappitsch (Bild & Klang) I am involved in the project KINDER MACHEN KINO, which stands for film education in action; children become filmmakers themselves and create their own short films with the support of educators and professionals from the Carinthian film and music industry (see productions: Opa Mümmel fährt Zug/Grandpa Mummel takes the train, 2019).
In 2021, we also produced the short documentary HOLZ / TRAUM / MOST / FUTURE (Leben Lernen Raum), which attracted attention throughout Austria as part of the Days of Architecture.

I was able to contribute my first film score (guitar) in 2023 for the documentary REZONANȚĂ - RESONANZ by Robert Schabus (Production: UNIKUM Klagenfurt/Celovec, robert schabus // film).

Accompanied by my guitar Luise I am on the road as singer-songwriter MARIE & LUISE. The debut album “doppelleben” was released in 2022 by Freiaudio Records and can also be found on bandcamp: marieundluise.bandcamp.com.
